Life is full of surprises. It’s true. You never know when one will come to you. I have been a little slow to start this week. Monday was a big holiday here, extended weekend that rolled into tuesday, etc. I haven’t posted or accomplished nearly as much as I planned in the studio. Nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised monday evening to discover my name in lights (well, links really).
I met some delightful people through a course I participated in earlier this year, Mondo Beyondo, http://www.mondobeyondo.org/ Definitely worth checking out! Several of us in the class, decided to use the goal enhancing nature of the class to commit to and focus on building our blogs. And thus far, most of us have succeeded in beating down our inner critics long enough to observe, create and post. This is a wonderful thing and I’ve experienced changes in my creative, social and business life as a result of this blog commitment, and ultimately Mondo Beyondo. I no longer get that nervous, anxious feeling before I click “publish”. I am overcoming the demons that tell me I “cannot write, no one wants to read it anyway, and why not just give up?” That perhaps is the greatest thing to come out of this little blu blog so far.
What I wasn’t expecting is the compliments and big ups I have received. Especially for some of my photos and mixed media stuff. I must say it feels awesome to know that people have appreciated and enjoyed the work and words I have shared here. So today I want to say thanks to those who have lended a kind word. Many have passed along my blog link. It has indeed increased my blog stats! Give thanks y’all and keep doing your good work. Please feel free to comment here and include your url so that I might also lend a hand.
